About the Garden

The Sackville Community Garden is a grass-roots initiative which has supplied this New Brunswick community with a local, sustainable, pesticide- and herbicide-free food source since 2003. The garden is divided into private plots (4’x16′), tended and harvested by individuals, and large community plots tended by the Friends of the Garden.

For the first time, the Community Garden will be hosting camping during SappyFest. See here for more info.

The Garden is in need of waterers throughout the week to make sure all the plots and berms are watered. Please contact us to volunteer!

The garden’s harvest will be available for purchase at the Sackville Farmers Market, Saturday mornings in Bill Johnstone Memorial Park later in the season.

The Garden is located by the train tracks on Charles St. Please stop by for a visit!

To become a member of the Friends of the Garden, to request a plot for yourself or to contribute to the Garden Fund, contact us at sackvillecommunitygarden@gmail.com
